Specializing in Organic Plant Starts

Northwest Organic Farms wants to partner with you this growing season helping you succeed with your organic vegetable gardening. View our BLOG pages for your guide to organic vegetable gardening.

Organic Vegetable Starts

Our organic vegetable starts consist of quality organic tomato plants, organic peppers, organic herbs and organic greens. We use the highest quality of certified organic seed and soil mix, which is tested to ensure the chain of integrity.

Did You Know?

  • Home grown vegetables are more nutritious than store bought veggies because they're fresh --- because there's a shorter time between picking and eating them, they lose fewer vitamins!
  • They will taste better than store bought vegetables because you pick them when they're ripe.  There's nothing like the taste of ripe, freshly-picked vegetables, straight from your garden to your plate!
  • You save money on food costs by growing your own vegetables!
  • Growing your own vegetables is therapeutic for the body and the mind.
  • About the green effect --- it's advantageous to eat organic home grown vegetables and to avoid the excess buildup of carbon dioxide in our environment.
  • The more hands vegetables pass through on their way to your table, the more likely they are to pick up contamination such as bacteria.
  • Our family run farm offers many varieties of affordable, healthy organic plant starts certified by Oregon Tilth.
  • This month buy certified organic plant starts and benefit from growing your own vegetables at home!

Community Gardens

This year we're supporting the Sandy Action Center.  They feed around 800 families each month.  They have started a community garden this spring to provide more fresh food to the families they are serving.  To volunteer you can contact them at 503-668-4746.

If you are organizing a community garden, let us know.  We donate a portion of our plants each year to community gardens in the area.
